Account Executive- Security Software, Inside Sales Federal


 


 


 


Location: On site in Bethesda MD. 


 


 We are looking to expand our client base with our Information Security Software practice.  We are a small, yet highly successful and profitable software company based in Maryland.  We are seeking an accomplished Federal Account Executive for our growing team.


 


This Federal Account Executive is responsible for proactive outbound prospecting, lead activity management, with the goal of qualifying prospects from lead status into the sales pipeline. This person will be an integral part of the Sales and Marketing team, and will assist in identifying and executing on lead generation programs across various Federal verticals, such as DOD, Civilian and State and Local government. The position also requires building a close relationship with partner/channel sales teams. In fact, customer interaction will comprise the majority of the workday in the form of telephone, e-mail and fax communications in an effort to qualify and market our software protection solutions to customers.


 


 


Job Responsibilities


 



  • Prospecting, lead generation and setting appointments.



  • Helping managed the sales cycle, and working to close smaller sales . 


 


Job Qualifications :


 


 3-5 years sales experience, preferably in the hi-tech software or hardware industry





  • Experience in customer-facing sales roles as an inside representative




  • Proven oral and written communication skills




  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills




  • Independent working and decisions making skills




  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point)



  • Easily adaptable to a fast-paced environment




  • Self-driven, goal-oriented and strong interpersonal skills




  • Ability to demonstrate sales process



  • Successful qualification of our customer prospects



  • Tracking and management of current and potential customers through the use of management software and systems (i.e. Salesforce.com)




  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding monthly metrics such as setting appointments, lead conversions and identifying new prospects




  • Establish close relationships with the outside channel sales team



  • Conduct market research



  • Participation in marketing and sales activities



  • Responsible for providing reports on leads and sales activity



  • Perform other job related duties as required




Compensation:


 


 


In this role you will be eligible for a base salary in the $50,000- $65,000 range and an additional commission potential of $60,000 along with access to our comprehensive benefits package.
